For this project, I led a team of myself and 4 other designers to create a proposal for a visual rebrand of Spirit Wellness Center in Cedar City, Ut. This is a local fitness center that specializes in therapy, fitness, as well as dance and karate classes. We were tasked with proposing whatever design changes we felt necessary to help bring in new customers. I led my team by delegating tasks, as well as leading the design of the new logo and brand elements. We created a logo that was reminiscent of movement, but not vanity or muscles. This was important to the owner and his values for the gym. Our biggest change was to the name. We nixed the wellness aspect, as we felt it was a bit too confusing for customers passing by on the road. Although he does offer therapy as well, it felt more necessary to highlight the business as fitness-centered. To include this wellness aspect, we created a new tagline: Elevate. Inspire. Thrive.
